He Already Knows the Answer
Series: general
he-already-knows-the-answerIn John chapter six, Jesus asks Philip a pointed question about an immediate problem to which Philip did not have a satisfactory answer.  Philip was looking at the circumstances directly in front of him and a miracle was the furthest thing from his mind.  What Philip learned and what we must apply to our own lives, is that Jesus never asks a question He doesn't already have a answer for.

    Series: Judges
    godly-parenting-in-a-fallen-world
In Judges 13, we meet Samson's parents and the circumstances around his birth.  It is easy to skip over them and move quickly into the exciting exploits and the disappointing mistakes of Samson, but I believe if we look close we can learn something from his mom and dad.  They teach us, in the most subtle of ways, how to raise children in a fallen world.

    Series: Judges
    a-legacy-of-jealousy
Jealousy living in the heart of someone will cause bitterness, misery, and destruction in their life.  Jealousy exerts control over our feelings, our choices, and our words.  The Bible teaches us that jealousy is the result of worldly and demonic wisdom.  But the good news is, it also shows us that the way to battle jealousy is to ask God to give us His wisdom.  In this message we look at the sin of jealousy and how to overcome it.

    jephthah-daughter
The Bible doesn't even record the name of Jephthah's daughter.  Many who speak on her focus on her father and his rash vow before God.  If we look close, however, there is a lesson we can learn from her, which can change our lives and our relationship with God in a dramatic way.  A lesson our world and the church needs more than ever; what it means to fear God.

rejected by the world chosen by god
Have you ever experienced the sting of rejection? Perhaps by a parent or sibling? Maybe a spouse or close friend? If you live on earth you've most likely experienced rejection at least once and I think we can all agree being rejected hurts.  In this message we look at a judge who was rejected by his family and his countrymen, through no fault of his own, but God turned his life around and used him in a mighty way.  The world may have rejected  you, but God has chosen you!

    The Judge of Just Enough
    Series: Judges
    the judge of just enough
In Judges 10:1,2, we find Tola, a judge over Israel, who didn't do anything remarkable or notable.  He did just enough to keep the peace in Israel and nothing more. This judge should cause us to ask ourselves, "Do we want to be everything that God wants us to be?  Or, are we content to just manage, to just get by, to simply coast through our Christian walk?"  God wants all of us; our life, our will, and our destiny.  Without surrendering those to Him, we can never be more than just enough.

    King Me
    Series: Judges
    Presentation1
In this message, we look at the selfish ambition of Abimelech to become king of Israel and how his attitude can find its way into our lives if we are not careful.  We desire to become king of our own little world in an effort to achieve what we believe God will not or cannot provide.  At a minimum, this type of attitude will lead to a life of emptiness and at worst, our destruction.  It is not too late to repent and allow God to return to the throne of your heart!

    When God Gives You Victory
    Series: Judges
    Presentation 20160731
When God is in the process of granting victory over the enemies in our lives, there are three things we must watch out for.  We must ensure the territory left empty by the enemy is quickly settled, we don't quit too soon, and we focus all of the praise upon God and God alone.  In this message we look at these three warnings and how they manifested in the great victory God gave to Gideon.
