The Holy Spirit: His Boldness To Declare What We Have Seen And Heard
After Peter and John were threatened by the religious leaders in Acts chapter four, they didn't run and hide or even seek comfort with their families. They went to the other believers (Acts 4:23) and told them everything. Instead of the news inciting fear, as it very well could have, it caused these Christ followers to call upon God to give them the boldness they needed to keep on speaking His word.

The Holy Spirit: His Conferred Authority
After the healing of the lame man in Acts 3 and the message of salvation Peter preaches to the crowd, the religious leaders are not happy. They cannot deny a miracle has taken place, yet they don't want to acknowledge Jesus Christ, whom they crucified, had anything to do with it. They take Peter and John into custody in an effort to intimate them into silence. Following the verbal exchange between the two apostles and the religious elite an interesting observation is recorded by Luke. He writes in Acts 4:13, "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus."  The Holy Spirit conferred upon Peter and John a supernatural boldness and authority to stand up and present the truth of Christ to the educated elite in spite of any fear or sense of inferiority.

The Holy Spirit: His Everyday Influence
In Acts 3:1-10, we learn of the Holy Spirit's influence in the lives of believers as they go about their daily routines. He desires to use us right where we are: home, office, school, park, even at the store.  People all around us are in need of Jesus and opportunities are available everyday to be His hands, feet, voice if we will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading and direction.

The Holy Spirit: His Work For God’s Glory
As we conclude Acts chapter two, we pick up with Simon Peter explaining to the crowd the events they had witnessed. The people had all heard the 120 "declare the wonderful works of God" in each of their own languages and could not understand how it was possible. In fact, some suggested they must be drunk. In this message, we look at how Peter pointed the crowd to Jesus after the supernatural manifestation they witnessed, which resulted in thousands being saved.

The Holy Spirit: Recognizing Our Need of Him
This is the first message from our new series, "The Holy Spirit."  We dive into Acts 1:1-14 and discover Jesus' need of the Holy Spirit in His own life and ministry. Jesus did not start His public ministry until He was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him like a dove.  It was then that He was tested in the wilderness and afterwards performed His first miracle.  We must recognize as children of God, as Jesus needed the Holy Spirit, we need Him too as a vital part of our lives.

    Foolishness
    Series: general
The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 1:18, "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."  In this message, we explore why the message of Christ crucified is foolishness to the world.
