Love Without Borders
By: Curtis Crawford
Series: general
Romans 8:31-39 - What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jul 19, 2020Keep MovingBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: generalPhilippians 3:12-15 - Not that I have already reached the goal or am already perfect, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus. Therefore, let all of us who are mature think this way. And if you think differently about anything, God will reveal this also to you.

May 24, 2020Walking With Jesus – Second ChancesBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: Walking With JesusWithin 24 hours, Peter made some huge mistakes. He didn't stay up to pray as Jesus requested. He cut off the ear of a temple servant. He denied he knew Jesus three times. Like Peter we make big mistakes, but Jesus desires to restore us, not destroy us.

May 17, 2020Walking With Jesus – Mountain TopBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: Walking With JesusLuke 9:28-36 - About eight days after this conversation, he took along Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray. As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became dazzling white. Suddenly, two men were talking with him—Moses and Elijah. They appeared in glory and were speaking of his departure, which he was about to accomplish in Jerusalem. Peter and those with him were in a deep sleep, and when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men who were standing with him. As the two men were departing from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it’s good for us to be here. Let’s set up three shelters: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—not knowing what he was saying. While he was saying this, a cloud appeared and overshadowed them. They became afraid as they entered the cloud. Then a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, the Chosen One: listen to him!” After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. They kept silent, and at that time told no one what they had seen.

May 10, 2020Walking With Jesus – FickleBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: Walking With JesusWe all have ups and downs as we walk with Jesus. In this message, we look at two moments in the life of Peter where he seemed to have it all together and then, just a few short verses later, he messed up. The question when these inevitable events happen in our walk is do we get back up again when we fall?

May 3, 2020Walking WIth Jesus – SinkingBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: Walking With JesusMatthew 14:22-36 - Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. After dismissing the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. Well into the night, he was there alone. Meanwhile, the boat was already some distance from land, battered by the waves, because the wind was against them. Jesus came toward them walking on the sea very early in the morning. When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost!” they said, and they cried out in fear. Immediately Jesus spoke to them. “Have courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter answered him, “command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” And climbing out of the boat, Peter started walking on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand, caught hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” When they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those in the boat worshiped him and said, “Truly you are the Son of God.” When they had crossed over, they came to shore at Gennesaret. When the men of that place recognized him, they alerted the whole vicinity and brought to him all who were sick. They begged him that they might only touch the end of his robe, and as many as touched it were healed.

Apr 26, 2020Walking With Jesus – SurrenderBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: Walking With JesusThis week we are beginning a new series titled, “Walking with Jesus.” We will be following the life of Peter as he walked with Him. You may say, “Why Peter, he was an imperfect man?” But that is exactly why! Peter lived a life of “ups and downs” for God just as we do. Peter had successes for God, but he also had failures. As we study what Peter learned from Jesus as he walked with Him, I pray that we would also walk with Jesus and allow Him to teach us through His word.

Apr 19, 2020Not Like ManBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: generalNumbers 23:19 - God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?James 1:16-18 - Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. By his own choice, he gave us birth by the word of truth so that we would be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Apr 12, 2020Who Do You Say I Am: Mary MagdaleneBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: Who Do You Say I AmMary Magdalene never got over her encounters with Jesus. Once a person encounters Jesus, that person’s life is never the same again. And the question we are left with, that Jesus, Himself asks, is “Who do you say that I am?”
- Mar 29, 2020Who Do You Say I Am: Claudia
Mar 29, 2020Who Do You Say I Am: ClaudiaBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: Who Do You Say I AmOnly one solitary verse in all the Bible mentions the wife of Pontius Pilate. Within those few words, her name is not even stated. Matthew’s gospel records her cited cameo in the crucial moments of Jesus’ trial that soon would determine his fate. Court is officially in session when an interruption breaks the concentration of the Roman governor, Pilate. Matthew 27:19 says, “While he was sitting on the judge’s bench, his wife sent word to him, ‘Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for today I’ve suffered terribly in a dream because of him.”’” That’s it. Nothing more is ever mentioned in all the pages of the Bible about Pilate’s wife.Who was this Claudia? What happened to her because of her dream? What was the source of her dream and how did she suffer from it? What did Claudia believe about Jesus? Who did she say Jesus was? No one truly knows the answers to these questions with certainty. What we do know is she had a dream, which so disturbed her emotionally and mentally, she had to do something even if it meant sacrificing her future.
