Rejected by The World, Chosen by God
By: Curtis Crawford
Series: Judges
Have you ever experienced the sting of rejection? Perhaps by a parent or sibling? Maybe a spouse or close friend? If you live on earth you've most likely experienced rejection at least once and I think we can all agree being rejected hurts. In this message we look at a judge who was rejected by his family and his countrymen, through no fault of his own, but God turned his life around and used him in a mighty way. The world may have rejected you, but God has chosen you!

Aug 21, 2016The Judge of Just EnoughBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: JudgesIn Judges 10:1,2, we find Tola, a judge over Israel, who didn't do anything remarkable or notable. He did just enough to keep the peace in Israel and nothing more. This judge should cause us to ask ourselves, "Do we want to be everything that God wants us to be? Or, are we content to just manage, to just get by, to simply coast through our Christian walk?" God wants all of us; our life, our will, and our destiny. Without surrendering those to Him, we can never be more than just enough.

Aug 14, 2016King MeBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: JudgesIn this message, we look at the selfish ambition of Abimelech to become king of Israel and how his attitude can find its way into our lives if we are not careful. We desire to become king of our own little world in an effort to achieve what we believe God will not or cannot provide. At a minimum, this type of attitude will lead to a life of emptiness and at worst, our destruction. It is not too late to repent and allow God to return to the throne of your heart!

Jul 31, 2016When God Gives You VictoryBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: JudgesWhen God is in the process of granting victory over the enemies in our lives, there are three things we must watch out for. We must ensure the territory left empty by the enemy is quickly settled, we don't quit too soon, and we focus all of the praise upon God and God alone. In this message we look at these three warnings and how they manifested in the great victory God gave to Gideon.

Jul 17, 2016Before The Dust SettlesBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: JudgesWe find in Judges 6:28-32, Gideon has taken the first step in his obedience to God by tearing down the altar to Baal in his father's back yard. He did as God commanded and built an altar to the Lord in its place and made an offering upon it. Before the second sacrifice finished burning, the enemies of God came looking for the one responsible. Gideon's life was threatened immediately for his obedience. He had a choice to make, remain in place, trust God, and be used by Him or run as fast as he could. How do we respond to the enemies immediate attacks when we move forward in obedience to God?

Jun 19, 2016When A Defeated Enemy ReturnsBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: JudgesJudges chapter six begins with the return of a once defeated enemy of Israel, the Midianites. Numbers chapter 31 details Israel's great victory, which left the Midianites leaderless and helpless. Yet, because of Israel's persistent idolatry, this once beaten enemy returns to oppress and harass the nation. In this message we look at the reasons beaten enemies return in our lives and the damage they can do if we do not turn to God.
