Our lives are hectic and we find ourselves working to satisfy the demands of our families, our jobs, and the church. We burn so much energy constantly "doing" that the effectiveness of our work is negatively impacted. Apr 26, 2015Do You Shine?By: Curtis CrawfordSeries: general
In Exodus 34 we see Moses descend from Mount Sinai and immediately the people noticed he was shining. The glory of God that surrounded him on the mountain left a literal impact upon Moses himself. Over time, however, the glory of God would fade until Moses went to commune with God once more. In 2 Corinthians three, Paul teaches us that because of the Holy Spirit who now dwells in believers, we should shine permanently and the veil has permanently been removed from our faces. Unfortunately, we sometimes put the veil back in place and do not reflect to the world the inward reality. The question we must ask ourselves is, "Do I Shine?"

Salvation is the great equalizer of mankind. In Romans chapter three verses ten through eighteen, the Apostle Paul quotes a series of passages from the Old Testament. These verses make it clear that regardless of man's race, social status, or economic status all of mankind is universally wicked. The great truth of scripture is God provides a remedy to our wickedness through the sacrifice of His Son, thus reconciling us to Him.

Apr 12, 2015Simple Belief or Saving FaithBy: Curtis CrawfordSeries: general
A simple belief God exists is not saving faith. Romans 10:9 and 10 defines saving faith as belief leading to repentance, which results in submission of our lives to Jesus Christ as Lord. If we do not submit our lives to Jesus Christ as Lord, we cannot be saved.
